In addition, you will take part in a 6-week clinical placement that will give you essential hands-on experience in the field. Intra-Oral Dental AssistantThe Intra-Oral Dental Assistant program at CDI College will provide you with the skills to assist dentists and hygienists, educate patients, prepare dental records and much more.
You will learn to prepare patients for treatment and assist dentists during procedures. In addition, you will learn to prepare dental materials, perform infection control procedures, and instruct patients on oral care. You will also learn to polish teeth, apply fluoride and topical anesthetic, take impressions of teeth and perform some orthodontic procedures.
