    The objective of this program is to give the student “hands on” training in the key areas of financial accounting and payroll, as well as in the implementation and operation of a computerized accounting system. The practical, rather than the theoretical, is stressed. The successful graduate will have the necessary skills to keep a set of books, both manually and on a computerized system.

    The objective of this course is to expose the student to the most relevant aspects of business management and administration, while providing the student with the tools required for a career in business. Because the business world is very dynamic, students are taught to keep up to date with the latest developments and business trends by reading financial newspapers, books, and magazines. Case studies are used to train students to think analytically and to apply their knowledge by solving problems and making decisions

    Executive Office Assistant
    In today’s dynamic world of business, there is a very high demand for people with excellent office support skills and an ability to function efficiently with little or no supervision. The objective of this program is to help the student develop the skills and insights needed for increased interpersonal and organizational effectiveness, and to have the student acquire a high level of competency in administrative, word processing, and communication skills. The successful graduate will have been exposed to the skills necessary to function in an executive office in either a large or small organization.

    The goal of this career program is to help individuals master the required personal and occupational qualities needed to care for people living at home and in long-term care facilities. Students will learn to identify and respond to the physical and emotional needs of clients/ residents. Basic skills acquired include promoting physical and mental activation, observing and communicating with the client, handling specialized equipment and providing personal and physical care.

    This Medical Offi ce Administrator program is designed to provide students with the business, technology and communications skills needed to work in a private physician’s office, single or multi-specialty clinic, or hospital setting. Emphasis is placed on medical terminology, body systems, medical transcription and medical offi ce procedures. In addition, the program fosters the development of interpersonal skills, organizational effectiveness, and communication skills necessary to function in a medical environment.

This has resulted in increased security budgets for hardware, software, and security professionals, with the need for security professionals expected to increase exponentially. The Network and Internet Security Specialist program not only trains you for these careers, but also to be a leader in guerilla warfare within this battlefi eld. The program starts with the core fundamentals and continuously builds and expands upon this foundation. Among the comprehensive content covered are routers and firewalls. Industry standard tools are examined, including Cisco Routers, and Microsoft’s premier firewall known as ISA server.

    Programmer Analyst/Internet Solutions Developer
    The Programmer Analyst/Internet Solutions Developer program is designed for students wishing to pursue a career maintaining and developing software solutions and applications. Computer programming for desktop and for distributed database architectures using object-oriented and traditional methods are rapidly growing areas in the information technology industry. The Programmer Analyst/Internet Solutions Developer program will help students develop the analysis, design and computer programming skills required to meet employers’ needs in these areas. Program highlights include: Microsoft Visual C# .NET, OOD, OOP, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Access, SQL Server, Microsoft Offi ce 2000, Visio, ADO.NET, HTML, XML, Script, ASP.NET, and Web Services. In the last phase of the program, students focus on developing skills in Object-Oriented Programming using either C++ or Java.
